Over the years we’ve had many questions on formats and admittedly they can be confusing. It seems companies would continue to pump out the latest and greatest so keeping up is difficult. So we’ve decided to help make that easier. We’re introducing a series of videos that help show and explain each old format of home movies, photos and film. Here’s one of the first videos on 8mm film. The Hippie Chunk: 3 Layers of Printed Goodness

After a few minutes of brainstorming with our friends over at Wonder Press we settled on what Cy (Paper Genius) refers to as the “Hippie Chunk.” The “Hippie Chunk” is 3 layers of fine paper all glued together. The middle layer is a subtle accent yellow. 

The result is a serious business card suitable for conveying contact information or for use as an impromptu weapon should you need it. We love them. Of course, we needed an equally as serious holder so we had these custom concrete card holders made up too. 

For when an old man relives his life, he lives it only by dwelling upon his memories; and when wisdom in an old man has outgrown the immediate impressions of life, the past viewed from the quiet of memory is something different from the present in all it’s bustle.

Washington Bound: A Gathering For Common Good

We’re honored to be a part of the Q Ideas annual event held this year in Washington D.C. We’ll be gathering with around 700 other creatives, thinkers, entrepreneurs and social innovators at the Andrew W. Mellon auditorium to discuss and debate how each of us can create solutions for the common good. Plus its a beautiful city. We’ll post some of our pictures!
